One of the world's first cosmetics companies is Shiseido, founded in 1872. It was established by pharmacist Arinobu Fukuhara in Tokyo, based on a pharmacy. The foundational product was the skin-softening lotion Eudermine, manufactured in 1897. It served as the catalyst for the creation of an innovative Asian skincare line, and with an improved formula, it is still part of Shiseido's range today.
