Trim the wick to about 1/4 inch before lighting to ensure a clean, even burn. Light the candle with a long match or lighter, allowing it to burn until the wax pool reaches the edges of the container to prevent tunneling. For the best scent throw and to extend the candle's life, burn it for at least 1 hour but no longer than 4 hours at a time. Extinguish the flame carefully by blowing it out or using a candle snuffer, and avoid leaving the candle unattended.
