Convenient files made of natural flexible wood are designed for all types of nails, especially brittle ones. They have become even more flexible now to prevent the splitting of the nail plate during filing.
The colors of the files have also changed:
- The pearl-gray has replaced the yellow surface for delicate nail filing.
- The purple side has replaced the white surface for final processing. With smooth, gentle movements (from the edge towards the center), use the purple side of the file to shape the nail as desired, holding it at a 45° angle. Avoid intense filing of the side parts of the nail at the border of the free edge and the nail bed to prevent the appearance of cracks and separations. For processing dense nails (such as in male manicures or pedicures), use the pearl-gray surface. To complete the procedure, remove the file residues from the tip of the nail plate by holding the file perpendicular to the free edge of the nail.
